Dear Friends,
After some deep soul searching and following Government guidelines and recommendations I have taken the heartbreaking decision to close the Academy.
This year so far has proved to be one of the most challenging we have ever experienced on an international level. The current fears over the spread of Coronavirus have caused unseen hysteria, certainly of which I have not seen in the UK in my lifetime; the potential consequences are yet to be seen.
It is fair to say that we are all justifiably scared and worried, not only about our own health, but our nearest and dearest. Understandably, any national measures put in place have and will be to protect us in order to prevent wider spread infection. I don’t think I am alone in stating that I am extremely fearful for what the impact of any protective measures could mean to the Academy. For us, it is of the utmost importance to ensure our staff and students, as well as their families, are kept safe and we do all we can as to protect all members.
Being forced to close for a set amount of time could result in detrimentally crushing financial impacts. My biggest fear is that the financial loss would force us to close permanently. I am very aware that during this time our Martial Arts tuition will not be available to you or your children but we will endeavour to do our best to ensure training is still received. We are trying our best through online remote training and worksheets to ensure the availability of learning and development is sustained. We want to ensure you/your child continues to develop even whilst we can’t see them face to face.
I would ask that during this time, you continue to support the Academy to ensure that once Coronavirus passes (which it will), we will be able to continue as an Academy and business to provide amazing lessons, experiences and education. I will make sure that once classes are open again, you will be able to use your fees paid as credit towards the following:
- Private Lessons
- Shop/Kit purchases
- Upgraded membership package (extra lessons)
- Grading
- Seminars
Our dedication is to provide continuous tuition to you/your child and support your training journey as best we can. I ask during this difficult time that you offer us the same dedication and support so I can teach you/your child for years to come. Your support will be recognised, appreciated and returned to you tenfold.
